Business Spotlight: A St. John Favorite Is Opening For Lunch!
Happy Friday! When the sun sets on St. John, there are plenty of places to eat, drink, sing, and dance the night away in Cruz Bay. Lunch options during the day however… much more limited. That’s why we were thrilled to learn that Lovango Rum Bar, which serves hands down some of the best pizza and craft cocktails on Island, is opening for lunch starting Monday, April 3rd.

Good Morning, Good Morning! It has been a LONG time since we have seen an elevated culinary event on St. John! Anyone out there remember the Taste of St. John that happened annually at the Westin? Well, it was one of my favorite evenings of the year but hasn’t occurred since before Hurricane Irma. And, while this weekend of culinary festivities on Lovango Cay may look a bit different than Taste of St. John did, this three-day celebration of renowned chefs, fine foods, locally crafted spirits and elevated wines promises to be a fantastic way to spend a day or an evening (or three!) celebrating the arts of food and drink in style.

Love City Yoga – A Growing Practice on St. John
One of the most important aspects of a community is the accessibility to health and wellness. Practicing yoga – whether at home or in a class, has a multitude of health benefits such as reducing stress, improving cardiovascular health, increasing flexibility, and encouraging mindfulness. It also creates a space to build community and share a collective energy through practice.
Certified instructor and creator of Love City Yoga, Corey Thomas recognized the need for organized, consistent yoga classes on island when she moved here from St. Thomas, four years ago. She started Love City Yoga last season, bringing much needed weekly classes to the Island. I went to one of the first classes, and it’s been beautiful to watch Love City Yoga grow over the last year.

Business Spotlight: Sonic Charters Expands Offerings with New Boats and BVI Trips
Sonic Charters, a family owned and St. Thomas based company, has expanded their fleet and their charter destinations this season just in time for the holidays! This charter company, established in 2013, was formed by Morgan and Carrie Locke (And named for their pup Sonic!), after they migrated from St. Croix to St. Thomas in 2009. When they started, Sonic was just a four-year-old pup! And now their furry friend, and their business, have grown for nearly ten years and Sonic’s namesake company has expanded, in that time, from one boat to six! And they are venturing into the British Virgin Islands once again as well!
