Flight Prices to St. Thomas Finally Dropping!
Good Afternoon! As you know we have now entered the low season in the Virgin Islands. That means less people looking to travel down the islands and deals on flights and accommodations are easier to come by. However, with airfare prices maybe the highest we’ve ever seen them in recent months, we wanted to analyze the upcoming high season to gain an understanding of what to expect. The good news is, it looks like airfare prices have come down significantly, hopefully a trend we’ll continue to see!
Caneel Bay Update: NPS Announces Future Plans for Resort Development
Good Afternoon everyone! I hope that all of you have been well…I have absolutely missed sharing the stories of St. John with you! When this one hit the interwebs last week, I was so excited to be able to report back to you on the new developments in the Caneel Bay story. In March, the National Park Service concluded the second public comment period in regard to the fate of the Caneel Bay Resort, stating that they would release the results by late Spring. In the true spirit of Island Time, we finally received word from them last week about the completion of the Caneel Bay redevelopment and management environmental assessment (EA) and their decision to move forward with the development of overnight accommodations at Caneel. But this time with more emphasis on public access, conservation and potential community collaboration.

Good Morning! It’s hard to believe August is already upon us, which means that stateside the back to school advertising campaigns are in full swing, and our northernmost friends are trying to enjoy the last month of beach days, bonfires, boating, and camping before the weather gets a little iffy. Before we know it, the Halloween decorations and candy will be lining store shelves and Christmas music will be hard to avoid on the radio.
All joking aside, it’s a great time to start planning a trip to St. John, and whether you’re a seasoned St. John veteran or a first timer, we hope that you find a few tips in this article beneficial in doing so.

As you gaze upon the marinas scattered across St. John’s landscape, you can clearly see many boats elegantly tethered in mooring fields. These vessels are the livelihood of the skilled boat captains who call this island home, using their unwavering dedication to providing for their families. As we are amid hurricane season, it’s a wonder what these captains would do to protect their vessels if a hurricane were to sweep through the island.
