Popular Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel Expands

Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel
The Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel has expanded.

Today we’d like to tell you about another great thing happening on St. John… The Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel recently completed a renovation and expansion, and the place looks great!

For those of you unfamiliar with the hotel, it’s located right in the heart of Cruz Bay, across the street from Lime Inn and De’ Coal Pot. The hotel is about to celebrate its 10th season, and it’s run by two good friends of ours, Dave Guidi and Denise Walker.

Dave and Denise recently completed a ground floor hotel lobby, which was built in the old Sogo’s restaurant space. They also added four guest rooms, which brings the number of rooms available to 14 plus one penthouse suite. One of the hotel’s nice features is its expansive second floor balcony. It’s a common space and a great place to start or end your day on island. Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel also offers guests a continental breakfast that includes coffee, juices, muffins, pastries, fresh fruit and more. They also provide beach chairs, beach towels, coolers and ice for all of its guests. It’s a great, affordable, full service hotel with a top-notch location for those of you who want to be in the center of it all.

“Perhaps the best thing about staying with us is our location,” Dave recently told us, “just a one minute walk from the ferry dock and ‘stumbling distance’ to all that Cruz Bay has to offer, so no need to rent a vehicle thus saving a lot of money.”

“If guests do wish to rent a vehicle,” he continued, “Conrad Sutton and Delbert Hill are right next door and guests can park for free in their lots, making parking very convenient.”

Dave and Jerry’s Steakhouse will soon open on the ground floor of the hotel adjacent to the lobby. This will definitely be a nice addition for guests who can simply walk downstairs for a great meal.

Room rates at the Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel start at $210 a night and vary depending on season. The Penthouse Suite starts at $300 a night. For more information, please visit its website at www.hotelcruzbay.com. You can also call (340) 642-1702.

That’s all we have for you today, folks! Happy vacation planning!

  1. This place looks cool. I was going to book a room there in late spring, but then my wife found out I was planning a solo trip to STJ. That was the end of that.

Glad they expanded, but kept what seems like a sweet vibe!

  2. That’s great! We stayed there for 2 nights at the end of our trip last November. Great people, awesome location and we were able to, as planned turn our Jeep into Conrad 2 days early. We loved Sogo’s for the authenticity, but look forward to trying Dave & Jerry’s.

Scoop, there is no way I could ever escape to the Rock without my wife, LOL!!

  3. We stayed there in May and upon check in told Aubrey that my wife has to eat gluten free. Every day we were there Denise made gluten free muffins. Such a great spot, clean rooms and amazing attentive owners. Thanks for a great stay.

  4. We stayed here in April. Dave, Denise and Aubrey were fantastic. Room was super clean, breakfast was a great start to the day. They helped us with dinner reservations several days/nights and their recommendations were “spot on”.

Love the location. Perfect staggering distance home after my nightly Cruz Bay bar crawl.

  5. I have known Denise and Dave for years and finally stayed there last year. What a great place and it is so convenient.

They are the absolute best hosts ever.
