Quiet Mon Pub's annual St. Patrick's Day parade steps off from the Cruz Bay tennis courts at Noon on Saturday. Billed as one of the shortest parades in the world, celebrants will march through downtown to kickoff the island's day-long observance of the holiday of the Green.
Several bars are making the day a real special event. Quiet Mon plans to offer corned beef and cabbage and Irish fare plus music by Chris Carsel and Company.
At Wharfside, the Parrot Club is re-naming itself as Parrot Pub. It has teamed up with SwittSwoo – a new fashion boutique and West Indies Distributors. "This will be THE St. Patrick's Day party in the islands," the Club said on its Facebook page. The fun begins at 8 p.m. with St. John disc jockey LS1.
