The third annual Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park benefit auction begins Friday.
Dozens of items are being offered including Christmas week in Park City, Utah, estimated to be worth $6,000; a day's charter to Jost van Dyke ($875), and five days in Cancun, valued at $1,048.00
Donations are still being solicited by the Friends. You can make yours here.
Last year, the auction raised $28,000. Nearly 200 bids were received and 95% of all items drew offers.
Pictured here is one of the art pieces being offered: Tanqueray Tang. Its sculptor, Larry Lipsky, calls it "geo-kinetic". Made from recycled copper and a Tanqueray bottle's tumbled glasa.
The auction ends at 8 p.m. EST on Dec. 4.
