National Park playground to be improved

Community_Foundation_-_logo2  Plans are afoot to clean up and spruce up the playground and recreational area adjacent to the National Park Service's Visitors center in Cruz Bay.

The project is being undertaken by the St. John Community Foundation (http://www.sjcf.org/) along with the NPS.  The public/private partnership is providing money, volunteers, and construction equipment to build a new drainage system for the field, replace fencing around the perimeter, plant new grass and construct new dugouts.  Some playground equipment is also expected to be replaced.
