For those of you lucky enough to be on island or perhaps you’ve been checking out one of the Cruz Bay webcams, you may have noticed a small cruise ship anchored offshore this morning. The name of the yacht is called Seadream 2 and I was lucky enough to get a pretty sweet champagne tour onboard yesterday. How exciting is that??!!
I arrived over at Crown Bay on St. Thomas yesterday afternoon and was immediately greeted with a glass of champagne. Not too shabby if you ask me. 🙂 I was then introduced to Hayden McFarland, the ship’s activities director, who showed me around a bit. (PS: Hayden was a great guy. Make sure you say hello if you see him wandering around Cruz Bay today or over at Honeymoon Beach.)
Seadream was voted the best small luxury cruise ship in 2015 by Forbes Magazine. It markets itself as being “yachting, not cruising” and only carries up to 56 couples. While in the Caribbean, they visit fun little spots that the larger cruise ships cannot like Cruz Bay and Jost Van Dyke.
Seadream has four separate decks, two of which house guest rooms. It boasts a pretty amazing Owner’s Suite and also an equally fabulous Admiral’s Suite in addition to numerous staterooms.
It also has a library, small casino room, two bars, gym and a spa onboard.
Seadream has a variety of water toys for guests’ use, a pool and hot tub on board. It also has a ton of outdoor seating available including lounges that allow guests to sleep under the stars at night. Yes, please!
I’ve never had a yearning to take a cruise prior to yesterday; however my mind has since been changed. I can definitely see a Seadream cruise in my future.
Seadream offers trips in both the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Visit www.Seadream.com for more information.
I have been on a couple of cruises years ago and didn’t want to do any more until I saw this! What fun it would be to do this with a group of friends!
What a lovely review! SeaDream feels at home in the beautiful Virgin Islands and we look forward to welcoming new guests who enjoy the less crowded island destinations. SeaDream takes the same approach to sailing the Mediterranean…calling on the smaller ports and avoiding crowds.
