The Terrace has been open just a few weeks. Located next to Wharfside Village with a gorgeous waterfront view, the restaurant is the creation of Robin and Erica Miner. She used to be the chef in the kitchen at La Tapa and Waterfront Bistro, so she has dealt with the vagaries and challenges of producing a first-rate menu on an island far, far away from lots of things.
“We’re going back to the same high-end style of the Stone Terrace (the restaurant previously in the space),” said Erica. The theme will be French-inspired fine dining, she added. Which means this is no fast food place; entrees $30 and up.
And the place is good, according to an island real estate salesperson and nine-year resident of St. John, Writing on Trip Advisor, where she is a Destination Expert, Pia said, “In one word … fabulous. It was probably one of the best dinners I've ever had on the island. It is for sure my ‘special occasion’ restaurant by far.”
Anlother review by HungreyTraveler said the same thing: “The appetizers, entree and desserts are French inspired. It's no more expensive than other expensive places, and definitely worth it. Great professional service, good wine list. Can't beat location.
Totally agree with Pia!! Erica came out to our table to see if we enjoyed our meal, service was excellent and food fabulous. My new go to place for fine dining!!!
