Not much work will get done in government offices this week as
inauguration events are held for John. deJongh on all three islands.
Non-essential employees have several days off during the week,
ostensibly so they can attend the events.
The Virgin Islands Daily
News said the St. Thomas swearing in on Monday, will be "a solemn and
ceremonious affair." An inauguration on St. John is set for Wednesday
in Cruz Bay followed by a citizen’s reception at the Battery from 4
p.m. to 6p.m and then an inaugural ball beginning at 9 p.m. at the
Westin.
