Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! I was scrolling through Facebook this morning, and it reminded me today today is our three year anniversary … how exciting is that??!! I simply cannot believe that three years have gone by since I took over News of St. John back in 2013.
Back when I took over the blog, I was doing it at night and on the weekends for fun. I had a full time job in Corporate America, was in the middle of a Master’s program, and I lived in Connecticut. Crazy, right? Like many of you, I loved St. John and vacationed here quite frequently. I had a friend back then that sent me a link to a TED Talk. It was about doing what you love. It basically said if you love something enough, do it whenever you can (at nights & on weekends in Connecticut, for example) and eventually, if you work at it enough, it will become your life. Well guess what folks, that’s pretty much my story.
So here I am, three years later, living on St. John full time and doing what I love. I absolutely love sharing the news with all of you, and I hope to continue to do so for years to come.
In the meantime, do what you love folks. And if you need a bit more inspiration, check out that TED Talk I mentioned: http://bit.ly/1sIuARh
Have a fantastic week! -Jenn xoxo

Love the blog. I read it almost every day to stay connected to the island. It keeps me motivated to get up and go to work each day in anticipation of the day I can return to St. John. Keep up the great work!
Jenn – Congratulations, We look forward to your posts. Even though we a now living in the NW our hearts are still in STJ. Hope we have many more years of reading your news of paradise.
Glad to hear it’s 3 years already. Keep up the good news!
Congratulations! We are also from Conneticut and have been vacationing in St. John since 2000. It is our paradise … our favorite place in the world, and we someday hope to buy a villa and live there, at least part of the year. Where in CT are you from? We have lived in Stratford, Fairfield and Trumbull, and we are currently in Southington.
Congrats! First site I visit every morning! Keep up the good work.
Jenn: Congratulations; you have done an amazing job since taking over from the much lower key “Inquiring Iguana”. Your previous background in Journalism has served you well, and your writing has consistently excellent grammar.
All the best,
Kevin
Congratulations Jenn! You’ve done a wonderful job with News of St. John! I enjoy spending time with you every morning as part of my ‘morning coffee’ routine.
Congrats Jenn. Love your work (i mean love) Just returned from a week on Coral Bay and the North Shore. Got to spend a day on YVD. Checked out the new bar you will be talking about. Nice place.
Happy Anniversary. I really enjoy The News every week. Helps us stay in touch with what’s going on and makes our “St John dreams” almost reality! Thanks for a job well done!
We read your blog every week, and it keeps us connected to our paradise. We live in South Carolina and have been to SJ 11 times in the past 7 years.
