The Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park think the best place to watch Ken Burns’ six-part documentary series about the National Park system is … in a National Park. So each night this week, one of the show’s segments will be screened at the Maho Bay Camp pavilion. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m.
“Whether you come out to see it with us or see it in the comfort of your home, you will be wowed by the scenery and inspired by the stores,” said Joe Kessler, president of the Friends.
Kessler told the Inquiring Iguana he was unsure in which segment of the series, if any, the Virgin islands Park would be seen. In fact, an episode guide to the series on the PBS Web site, doesn’t mention the VINP. But Kessler said the island's park is featured in a book that accompanies the TV series.
