Where to watch the Big Game

It's a popular question on the St. John forums this week.  People who will be on island this weekend want to know where to watch the big game.  Some locals have passed along advice.

Quiet Mon Pub

Xislandgirl suggests the Quiet Mon, in Cruz Bay.  Of course, it will be anything but Quiet.  The second floor bar with a porch out to the street insures a good time.  From your perch up there, too, you can tell the people below, trying to crowd onto the sidewalk at Woody's to pipe down, that you're trying to listen to the game.

Another spot in CB is the Tap Room, the tavern operated by St. John Brewers at Mongoose JunctionRickG said, "We watched the Kentucky Derby (with Xislandgirl!) at the Tap Room and had a blast. But, I'd probably opt for the Quiet Mon too."  She agreed that was a good time, "but that Pumpkin Ale kicked my butt! ."

StJohnJulie likes High Tide at Wharfside. "Get there early, get a good seat at the bar, should be a lot of fun since the owners are big sports fans."

On the other end of the island, Coral Bay, there's no contest for THE spot.  It's Skinny Legs.  They set up a big screen so everybody's got a good view of the game.  But, beware if your a Giants fan.  "They tend to be avid NE fans (Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, or anyone playing against a NY team)," said Chris@Work.
