Back in August, we told you about a television show called Below Deck. It’s a “reality” show that chronicles the lives of people who live and work on megayachts in the Caribbean. Last year around this time, it filmed its second season over in the British Virgin Islands. That season aired last summer and featured several familiar local spots like the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost and The Baths on Virgin Gorda. There were also a few quick cameos from some of our local boaters, as well as Southern Hospitality.
The name of the boat used in the second season was called Ohana. It was recently renamed Rhino. Well yesterday when I was heading to the airport to pick up family, guess what boat I saw anchored off of the Ritz in St. Thomas … Rhino! Hmmm, think they’re filming their third season in the US Virgin Islands??!! How exciting would that be! It’s purely speculation but we do know that the third season is currently filming. So keep your eyes open for Bravo TV film crews in the area. In the meantime, here are a few pics we snapped yesterday:
I saw a film crew in the Cruz Bay Park Friday. I wonder if it was them?
They are in the Abacos this season.
Ugh, I hope not. My family and I come to St. John once a year for its peacefulness and serenity to escape NYC. The last thing I would want it is getting over popular with “reality” tv show fanatics.
Question, Did St John ever get the new Ferrys
Yes
