A big congratulations goes out to Grande Bay, which was just named to Expedia.com’s Insiders’ Select 2013 list. The list ranks the world’s top hotels and is based predominantly on customer rankings.
According to Expedia’s website, hotels on the Insiders’ Select list are rated on a number of factors, including customer scores. Only 650 of 205,000 available properties are named to the list. Grande Bay is only one of four hotels to be honored throughout the Caribbean.

Where is your favorite place to stay on St. John?
That thing is an eye sore.
That and Sirenusa were the ruination of Cruz Bay. It’s amazing how short sighted and cash grabbing people can be. St. John was WAY better without it. They built directly in front of other people’s view of the harbor – with absolute impunity.
It looks like Florida’s coastline. That is NOT a compliment!

Sorry to say. I don’t see any redeeming qualities in all this construction. To me, this development is detrimental to St. John!!
This monstrosity absolutely ruins the looks of Cruz Bay…it should be bulldozed.
