So slow season is pretty much here on island, which means it’s time for all of us to make our vacation travel plans. I was researching airfares and was pretty surprised to see how low they currently are. So I did a few reverse searches for all of you, and I learned that airfare to St. Thomas – within the next 30 days from many of America’s main airports – was almost overwhelmingly under $400 round trip. Intrigued? Then read on…
(All of these airfares are based on a five-night stay within the next 30 days.)
Let’s start with our New England friends… The best deals are coming out of Boston. You can fly roundtrip out of Boston for only $272 on Delta, but only on two specific days in September. Traveling out of New York? You can fly on American on several days in September for only $337. Looking to splurge a bit more? Well then you can fly direct for $392 on Delta. Not bad.
Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Miami for a bit? Well you can do so on American only only $238 roundtrip. This offer is good for a ton of dates in both August and September.
For our readers in the Chicago area, you can fly for $307 on Spirit, which isn’t the best airline in our opinion. So for a bit more, just $334, you can fly roundtrip on American. I think that’s worth the extra $27.
We’ve been getting a lot of visitors from Texas latest and with good reason – flights out of Houston in September are only $382 roundtrip on American.
And the most expensive flight we found, but it’s still super cheap in our opinion, was out of Los Angeles. For only $451, you can fly roundtrip on JetBlue. That deal is for September 14th only.
You can also find some great deals on accommodations this time of year. Villas, condos and resorts offer their lowest rates this time of year, and many are offering deep discounts on top of their already low rates. Happy vacation planning!
Wow! Thanks for that bit of research, definitely tempting!!!
When you have no choice but to fly Spirit Airlines, you just don’t fly! Spirit has long been on my DO NOT FLY list, and if given the choice to stay home or fly Spirit, I will stay home.
The last time I flew Spirit, I had a nonstop ticket and ended up making 5 stops. They can not me trusted!
