Well folks, we have a second business opportunity to tell you about this week. St. John Inn just listed for sale. The asking price: $2,990,000.
The St. John Inn is a small hotel located in Cruz Bay just beyond the roundabout. It was recently renovated and offers complimentary breakfast and sunset happy hour. The property has a pool and is located within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Cruz Bay, the ferry dock, grocery stores and the tennis courts.
The St. John Inn listed for sale back in early 2017. At that time, the asking price was just under $4 million, so this is quite the price drop.
(Side note: The property being listed for sale does not and will not affect any current or future reservations.)

Everyone’s bailing. Has anyone done anything with the building next to old Tamarind inn? Perfect building to bring apartments back to life for locals. If things keep going this way, employees that work for the local businesses won’t be able to afford living there. Which is the backbone for tourism existing!
No, it is still sitting vacant. I believe there are some issues having to deal with ownership.
Employees already can’t find housing. The businesses that serve tourism have been short of workers all last season. People want to work on StJ but can’t find housing. I blame AirBnb since so many people who used to rent long term have changed to short term rentals since Air BnB has made it so easy to do. Everyone is so focused on serving the tourist industry that the residents are being forgotten. I heard that the building by Tamarind Inn is in too bad a shape to rehab.
