News of St. John’s 1st Ever Readers’ Awards, Part 1

So quite often, we tell all of you about our favorite faces and places here on St. John. Well now we’d like to know what your favorites are! So we’re holding our first ever News of St. John Readers’ Awards! How exciting!

You may have noticed that we’ve been asking you some questions over on our Facebook page over the past week or so. Well we took your top pics and entered them into the running. So go ahead and vote away!

This is part one. There are more to come. Remember, you can vote more than once, so if you love someone or something, please vote, vote, vote! Polls close next Sunday, March 19th at 11:59 p.m.

  7. My Happy place on earth in in Love City, Cruz Bay St. John USVI.
    I have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, family retreats and empolyee appreciation
    trips here because it is wonderfully magical. Everyone I ever meet there is awesome and the food & drinks are heavenly. That’s just on the Island, forget about taking any excursion on any boat other than Born To Rhumb. Trust me, Ben Steed and his crew are by far the cream of the crop when it comes to taking people out on the ocean for a great day of adventure and memories that will/do last a life time. Neverland found…

  9. Palm Tree Charters Was Amazing! You will feel like you are out with family and long time friends. The only way to truly see and feel the island is from the water. Jimmy and Bridget created the absolute best experience for us! My favorite day on the island.

  13. To the one person that has voted over and over and over again ( yes it’s easy to spot ) for Born to Rhumb you are ruining it for all of us and the other charters by bringing thier votes down
    Yes you that sane person voting 2,000 times a hour seemingly
    The Mayor calls this ballot void and unofficial

  14. We had a poll in our local paper and my son was one of the people you could vote for. One of the other people on the list had some kind of “robot” casting votes. I don’t know much about how that works though. Maybe there is a similar thing going on here.

    Either way it’s all in good fun, right?

    • Hi AJ, thanks for your comments. People have questions the “bot” thing in the past on this site. I can actually see every single vote and the IP address attached to it. So I can say with 100% certainty that all votes are legitimate. Some participants have campaigned which is why they have so many votes. And some people have spent a great deal of time voting.

      All of that being said, I am not sure we will do contests anymore because people tend to get upset when the goal was to have some fun.

  15. Yeah…. I think Dans’ a little too high strung!!!! I think it’s time for him to go back( if he’s ever been) and chil-lax !!!!!! Is it bad to think that skinny-legs is our most romantic!!!!!! Lol.
