How things have changed

Wifinets This graphic shows the many Wifi networks I can 'see' from our villa, Blue Tang, at Great Cruz Bay. (Ours is 'belkin54g.'  Original, eh?)

Pretty impressive for a small island.

A few years ago, I asked the reservations people at Catered To (the four-star management company which oversees our villa) if they were getting requests for Wifi access.  "Nope," they said, perhaps not even aware of what it was. Blue Tang's had Wifi for seven years.

By the way, the Westin St. John Resort Wifi network?  While the little icon shows it's open, it's not really. You have to go through an authorization and, if your a guest, your name and room number are matched to give you access.

  1. Well, with the kind of economic situation we have right now, we really need to be updated. Things indeed change. As we all know, change is the only constant thing in this world. Thanks a lot for the short story to inspire us.More power.

  2. Those who understand the different styles of markets and have trading systems and methodologies for each market type will prosper, no matter what the Euro Zone, G20 meeting or Ben Bernanke have to say.
