Seems like there’s a benefit event every week on island during winter season, but the Gifft Hill School’s is among the first, if not the first, to have an interactive online component.
The 21st annual fund raiser for the island’s private school
is set for Saturday night at the Westin Resort. But even if you’re
not here, you can lend support by bidding on some of the Silent Auction
items. Included are watercolors by Bente Hirsch and Elaine Estern,
mosaic side/cocktail tables from Julie Stevens, and drawings by Karen
Samuel. There are also several St. Thomas vacation packages,
necklaces and bracelets. It’s all for a good cause, of course.
Too bad if you’re not on island. The Silent Auction will be conductedbefore dinner as a Martini Bar is hosted and provided by Infusions, Happy Fish, and Tage.
