For those of you who’ve been following this blog for awhile, I’m sure you’re aware of my mini obsession with cool underwater videos. Well what we have for you today is no exception. Check out this relatively quick, but certainly very cool video of an octopus over at Honeymoon. It was captured by our friend Basil, who happens to be a fantastic dive instructor over at Low Key Watersports. He took it on Tuesday when he was out snorkeling. Check it out:

Very cool! Nice shot Basil!
Such a cool creature! I saw one a few weeks ago at Salt Pond.
Wow… it was only obvious at the end of the video that this was shot by a snorkeler, not a scuba diver. Basil has an enviable set of lungs!
Was he carrying a conch shell? There were a couple little glimpses in the movie that looked like he was hiding one.
Great video!! I am definitely a novice diver (around 30) and snorkeler. I have never personally seen an octopus. I thought octopi/octopuses were nocturnal? I have always heard other divers discussing seeing them after night dives. Been on two night dives, didn’t see any then either. 🙁
