Baby News of St. John Has Arrived!!

dalton bassinet yale
Well folks, we have some very exciting news to share with all of you today… Baby News of St. John has arrived!! How exciting is that??!!

Dalton John was born this past Sunday, July 1st, at 12:42 p.m. He decided to make his debut 16 days early, which came as a bit of a surprise to us! Clearly he knows how much I love the Fourth of July and wanted to be a part of this year’s festivities!

Dalton and I are both doing great, as is daddy Mike, who some of you know from being the GM of Joe’s Rum Hut. (And now you know how I have all the inside scoop on what’s happening over there and at Wharfside… 🙂 )

We’ll have our 10 month post-storm pics for you tomorrow, but after that, we’re going to take a few days off to simply enjoy Dalton and to enjoy life. In the meantime, please check out a few pics I’ve taken over the past three days. Have a great day everyone!!

  3. Congrats Jenn and Mike!! 31 years ago my Caneel conceived baby girl was born on July 1st! She gets very embarrassed when I remind her of where she was conceived as we drive past Caneel when we are on island. Her husband thinks it’s hysterical!

  14. We are plannng a trip in one month. Is August a deadly hurricane time? We really don’t want to have our roof blown off.

    • Ernie,
Hurricanes that develop in August are non-lethal. You have a better chance of being killed by falling coconuts.
Book your trip, have some rum and listen to some Chesney. Life is too short.

  15. What an adorable little fellow. Love your blog and hope to hear more about Dalton in the future. Congratulations!

  16. Jenn & Mike,
Heartiest congratulations to you both on the birth of Dalton. When we took our tour with you, Jenn, we felt the vibes and have been following News of St. John daily ever since.
My father-in law was born on July 1 and he was one of the finest, kindest men I have ever known. He was also the father of my wife of 52 years. Sue and I will be back next March, along with Doug and Liz and their two children. Hope we can connect with you, however briefly.

  17. Our baby boy (now 25) surprised us this past Sunday by flying down from VA for a week. May your little one fill your life with endless joy!

  18. Congratulations! He has such a nice place to start his little life. Sand and Sea, and lizards and birds.

  19. Enjoy keeping up with st John thru your pics and blog. Congrats on your bundle of joy. He is beautiful.

  20. Congrats! A Beautiful Baby is one of life’s most precious blessings. Thank you for all you do to keep St. John “family” informed! Now – take a few days off and stare into Daltons eyes….He is amazing.

  21. Congratulations, Jenn & Mike! (hmm…something vaguely familiar there….) God bless Baby Dalton and may you enjoy every moment of the new adventure he will take you on.

  22. Minnesota Mike,
I too am terrified of these falling coconuts. Supposedly they kill more people than crocodile and shark attacks combined. I’m also terrified of undertows and I hear the green flash could make your head sore if you stare at it.

  23. WoW! Congrats! We have 3 and one just married a wonderful gal, so 4, yeah!!
Congrats.. Enjoy your early bonding time. So essential to Dalton’s early development.

    Best wishes,

    Mary

  24. Congratulations to Mom and a warmest welcome for her handsome baby boy Dalton.
