At 4:45 p.m., the Federal Emergency Management Agency issued a press release, "to urge everyone in the region to take steps now to ensure they are prepared for possible severe weather."
Hello!
It's been raining and nasty and windy and dangerous since before dawn!
Island time?
Now that, right there, is funny.
Hoping all on island are okay.
Actually, it’s more than that: I’m worried about friends who live there and I haven’t heard from in a couple of hours. Best to all on island!!
FEMA isn’t the only one on mainland who is behind. On my way into work this morning, NPR’s news update stated that Puerto Rico and the northern Caribbean are bracing for the effects of Hurricane Earl today.
