The St. John Land Conservancy is holding a chili-cookoff fundraiser tomorrow afternoon in Coral Bay. So if you’re lucky enough to be on island, you should definitely check it out.
The St. John Land Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of lands of important historic and natural beauty on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The chili cook-off is their first fundraising event.
The event starts at noon tomorrow, April 29th, at Skinny Legs in Coral Bay. In addition to the cook-off, there will also be live music, a children’s parade, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges; however you can get in on the action too as there will also be a “People’s Choice” winner.
The St. John Land Conservancy is an all-volunteer organization that is independent from the VI National Park, yet the two groups do collaborate for land protection outside the park’s authorized boundaries.
