We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing delicious food, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals according to recipes and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and more in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage food preparation and ensure timely service during busy shifts.
- Follow portion control guidelines and food presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food storage and hygiene practices.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in hot environments.
