By now most of you know that I have a pretty big obsession with donkeys and turtles. I’m not sure how I missed World Donkey Day on May 8, but I sure as heck know that I’m not missing World Turtle Day, which happens to be today. So…
Happy World Turtle Day everyone!
In honor or our favorite little sea creatures, we asked all of you to share some pics and videos. A big thanks to all of you who sent them in. Here are a few of our favorites:
Remarkable, thank you!
Just wanted to share one of the first videos I did on St. John. Diving Haul Over Bay about 8 years ago. There are a couple good video shoots of a Turtle in this one.
I guess if would help to include the link – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiRM5dCaawQ
Are the turtles pictured mostly Green Sea Turtles? I used to think I was seeing all Hawksbill turtles in St John, now I’m not sure – can anyone I.D.?
I saw a Leatherback turtle in Cinnamon Bay decades ago.
Mostly Greens at Francis & Maho. Hawksbills tend to be over at Haulover, Lamesur, Groot pan, etc. but can see either or both off most St. John. beaches.
