Well folks, if you’re lucky enough to be on St. John this weekend, our friends over at Drink in Cruz Bay are gearing up for two very fun events.
The first event happens this Saturday at 2 p.m. on the beach in front of Drink. Anne Bequette, owner of STJ Creative Photography, will be offering a donation-based photo shoot for all of the island’s dogs and their owners. So if you’re visiting island and miss your puppy, this is definitely the place to be. If you have a dog on island, this event is not to be missed!
All proceeds will be split between animal rescues, the Animal Care Center and the Love for Love City Foundation.
And on Sunday, Drink is at it again, holding its first ever beach olympics. Here is the official event description straight from Drink:
It’s time to go for the Gold in Cruz Bay! With the Winter Olypmpics behind us, it is time to start training for the Spring Olympics at DR!NK!!! This is a team competition so grab 3 of your fiercest friends that have the stamina to withstand 4 grueling events on the beach for a chance to win $500!!! The Beach Olympics are open to all competitors with all skill levels. The events are not service industry related (although they may involve drinking) so come on down linemen, contractors, jewelers, boaties, teachers, vets, everyone! Do you have what it takes to bring home the gold?
The event starts at 11 a.m. The team entry fee is $50, and spectators are encouraged to check it out. There will be drink specials, and food and snacks will be provided by Dog House pub and Irie pops.
