Want to Own a Business on St. John?

Happy Thursday everyone! Yesterday I was chatting with a friend about owning a business on St. John. I know many of you have that dream too, so today we’re going to give you a quick rundown of what is currently on the market…

Cafe Roma – $315,000

Cafe Roma has been dishing up some of the best Italian food and pizzas here in Cruz Bay since 1981. And apparently I’m not the only one who considers this a favorite because it’s been voted the Best Italian Restaurant on St. John for the past 10 years by the Virgin Islands Daily News.

Cafe Roma has a great location – just one block from the ferry dock in the heart of Cruz Bay. It’s a turnkey business with well seasoned staff in place. The reason it’s up for sale? Well owner John Hiebert said he is looking forward to pursuing other opportunities over on St. Thomas, the island he calls home.

Skipper’s Brit Pub at Sweet Plantains – $99,000

Skipper’s Brit Pub was formerly known as Sweet Plantains. Here’s what the owners had to say about the change:

Our family moved to St John over a year ago. A restaurant in the Caribbean was our dream, not a restaurant serving All Caribbean food. Of late we have added some great British food items to our menu which have become very popular. The name Skippers we have had registered since we started looking for restaurants and pubs in the Caribbean. As our regulars are aware we have had Skippers pub on our menu for quite a while, the plan was always to change the name.

  1. That was pretty quick! I wanted to get over there this season and try the food.
Maybe i should buy the place.
I am really tempted but so scared of throwing everything i have at this and failing.
Good luck to whomever has the intestinal fortitude!
