Gov. John deJongh won’t be able to vote for Barack Obama if the Illinois senator is on the Presidential ballot this fall, but he can offer an endorsement. And that’s what the Governor did on the eve of the Iowa caucuses.
"Each of the leading … candidates have (sic) the skills and experience to lead the country, but Barack Obama is the best candidate for change when change is most needed in this world," the Governor said.
"I am confident that the Virgin Islands will have a stronger voice in an Obama White House," the Governor added, according to a report by Caribbean Net News.
Earlier this year, deJongh and his wife, Cecile, hosted a fund raiser for Obama at the Ritz Carlton Resort.
