We often receive questions asking us about accommodations here on St. John. There are so many great options to choose from, so it’s really hard to narrow it down to just one. Many people prefer to stay right in the heart of Cruz Bay where you can walk to a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars and to Cruz Bay beach itself. One of my favorite spots in Cruz Bay has always been Grande Bay, a condo resort located directly across the street from Cruz Bay beach.
Grande Bay is split in half somewhat. Part of the condo resort is timeshares while the other part is owned by individual owners. Today we’d like to tell you about Seaside Properties, part of the individually-owned section.
Seaside Properties at Grande Bay consists of three units – Seaside Two Bedroom Suite, Egret’s Rest One Bedroom Suite and the Ocean View One Bedroom Suite. It’s owned by two good friends of mine – Tracy and Juice Pajewski – and I like the unit so much that my family stayed there last month!
Like all the units at Grande Bay, you have access to a full gym, pool, hot tub and sundeck area which has picturesque views of Cruz Bay harbor. What makes Seaside Properties special (other than it’s two great owners) is the high quality furnishings and amenities in each unit.
The Seaside Two Bedroom Suite is located on the first floor of the front building at Grande Bay Resort and offers unmatched convenience and amazing views. It has a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a studio bedroom with a queen sized bed and two queen sized sleeper sofas. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook a full meal or a simple breakfast and lunch to enjoy on the balcony. This fully air conditioned suite comes complete with two bathrooms with spacious showers, in suite washer and dryers, an in room safe for your valuables and they even offer a reserved parking space (not available with the studio suite).
To suit your vacation needs, the Seaside two bedroom suite can be reserved as a full two bedroom, two bathroom suite. If you prefer a smaller suite, the interior lock out doors (similar to an adjoining room in a hotel), can be used to split the suite into a one bedroom, one bathroom suite with a full kitchen or a studio suite with a kitchenette – both suites have private entrances.
The Egret’s Rest Suite is located on the third floor of the front building at Grande Bay Resort and has a large balcony offering amazing views. It has a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. This spacious suite includes a dining table with seating for six, a breakfast bar, and a fully equipped kitchen. The large bathroom has access via both the hallway and bedroom allowing for additional privacy. Egret’s Rest offers full air conditioning, an in suite washer and dryer, in room safe for your valuables and a reserved parking space.
And lastly, Seaside Properties’ Ocean View Suite is located on the second floor of the back building at Grande Bay Resort and has a large wrap around balcony offering stunning views of Cruz Bay and beyond. It has a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The dining area offers seating for four and the breakfast bar seats four more. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make a delicious meal. Ocean View is the only one bedroom suite at Grande Bay Resort with 1.5 bathrooms for your added convenience and privacy. Ocean View offers full air conditioning, an in suite washer and dryer, in room safe for your valuables and a reserved parking space.
Each unit is fully air conditioned, has an in suite washer and dryer, high speed internet and cable television. All of the units, with the exception of the studio, come with a designated parking spot. Please check out a few more pics…
How nice do those units look? Who’s ready to plan a vacation??!!
Rates for Seaside Properties begin at $250 a night in low season and vary based on the unit and time of year. Please visit www.grandebaystj.com to learn more.
And as I mentioned, Seaside Properties is owned by Tracy and Juice Pajewski. Tracy and Juice also own Into the Mystic, a beautiful two bedroom villa located in Coral Bay. Click here to learn more about that villa.

Could you forward rates for a 4 week rental during any of the following months: Jan, Feb or March 2021. Interested in the Studio or the 1 bedroom.
My husband and I stayed in the studio last March.. it was more than enough room for the 2 of us. The convenience to shops and ferry couldn’t be beat. Already have booked for 2020. Tracy is terrific.
No, there aren’t a lot of good options to stay on island. Each and every available room is a rip-off owned or run by speculators. By way of perspective, you can get a comparable room in Costa Rica for about a tenth of the price or less, low or high season. This type of market excludes a nicer and more interesting tourism. Except for the now closed campsite, independent travelers, Europeans, etc. stay away from St. John in a big way. Sad!
Seaside is fantastic! Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else on the island. The studio is perfect for a couple, and the adjoining 1BR unit works out great when you bring the family. Tracy and the on-site staff are always a pleasure to deal with.
Can’t wait for our next trip!
