Tropical Storm Ernesto is likely to pass about 170 miles south of St. Croix Saturday morning. The worst may be some light rain, according to a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
Maximum sustained winds in the depression are only about 50 miles an hour. But Andrew Mussoline, meteorologist at AccuWeather, says it could strengthen.
Ernesto’s appearance is a wake-up call for what has been a very quiet hurricane season. So, here are some links you can check if and when you hear about heavy weather.
