Tourist Trap Closes for Good

larry tourist trap

Well folks, we have some sad news to share with all of you … The Tourist Trap has closed for good. Larry served up his last dish last Friday and left island Saturday. He decided to retire in Puerto Rico home, a place where he has previously lived and owned a restaurant.

I, for one, will miss seeing Larry, Mary, Cheryl and the crew’s faces each week. And darn I’m going to miss those tacos!

For those of you who’d like to get a little Larry fix today, check out this throwback video featuring Larry along with Mr. Wayne Campbell, former owner of Barefoot Cowboy. It’s a fun little episode of “Knocking’ Em Back with Wayne Campbell.” Enjoy.

  1. Sad, Sad, day always one of our highlights on each trip is to go see our friends at TT, best of luck Larry sure going to miss you and those fabulous Lobsta rolls and pulled pork nachos. Snorkeling at salt pond will NEVER be the same again with the loss of you, Mary and Cheryl to greet us afterwards for lunch.
    So long friend.

  2. Will really miss the Tourist Trap experience. Hoping all involved will make out fine wherever they go. Wish I had gotten more decals (Drink Right, Keep Left) last year because the one on my car is shot! If anyone has an extra, please let me know. 😀

  3. Congrats, Larry (& Cheryl) You are in the history books and will never be forgotten! On to the next adventure!

  4. Bringing my kids for their 1st STJ visit and sure wish Tourist Trap was still gonna be there. All the best to Larry and all.

  5. sure will miss our annual stop at Tourist trap each February. Best of luck to Larry, Cheryl, Mary and the gang. Will miss those nachos, the hummingbirds, and the great vibe there! Always was one of our favorite stops.
