Mongoose Junction is hosting a kickoff for the holidays starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
One lucky shopper will win a $1,000 in a raffle. For every purchase at any Mongoose retailer or restaurant you receive a raffle ticket.
Many of the center's merchants have special sales. In addition to the raffle and great shopping, many Mongoose shops will also feature activities and presentations for the evening.
- The Friends of the Park store will host photographer Steve Simonsen. He will talk about his new 2011 calendar and play a documentary of leather back turtles filmed in St. Croix.
- A special show at Bajo el Sol featuring giclees of oil paintings by the late Maria Henle.
- The Best of Both Worlds will showcase new bronze sculpture work.
- R&I Patton Goldsmithing will feature jewelry by George Sawyer, who will be on hand
