The Island at Night

I was Facetiming my parents in Connecticut last night when Mama News of St. John mentioned how loud the “peepers,” as she calls them, were in the background. The “peepers” as she refers to them are actually tree frogs and have been especially loud over the past few weeks since we’ve received a good amount of rain. I love the “peepers” too and thought you all might enjoy hearing a bit of what the island sounds like at night. Enjoy.

Ps: Yes, it’s slow season. 🙂

  1. Jenn,

Thanks for sharing the “peepers”! Sometimes I just need a little STJ fix and you gave it to me this morning!

    Cheers!

  2. I love the “Peepers” (their sounds anyway). They aren’t so adorable to look at.
I missed them when we stayed on the Coral Bay side of the island and didn’t hear them.

  3. Taking my lunch break – Just listened to them again. Oh how I love that sound and look forward to hearing them in person with you in November.
    Thanks Jenn!

  4. I too love that sound. Now I am feeling calm and at peace and cannot wait until next July when we return. Thank you for giving me a little of paradise while sitting at my computer.

    Missing St. John,
    Joyce
