A December 1st opening is planned for a new island restaurant and bar to be called Crazy Crackers. The name is in ‘honor’ of the owner’s Chihuahua.
Word (and photos) of the project came via a blog by a young couple who just moved to St. John from Portland, Oregon. The pair, Ashley and Dustin, have been writing a blog about their adventure at http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog/ashleyandustin/1/tpod.html
Soon after arriving on island, Ashley found a bar tending job at Woody’s,
and Dustin
signed on to help build out and open the new place. Previously, the space was filled by Duffy’s Love Shack and Lizard's Landing, and before that, the Back Yard.
The happy couple arrived on island about two weeks ago and, judging from their photo gallery on line, the started out camping at Cinnamon Bay, but after three days they headed out and found a studio apartment. Keep reading their blog … this could be an interesting story.
