St. John: There’s an App for that

Photo2 About 18 months ago, a small software company in the Virgin islands released an iPhone app to help folks plan their island vacations.

Crucian Point sold the app for 99 cents then, but now you can get it at no cost. And it's available on other smartphone platforms including Android and Blackberry.

The VI Department of Tourism has adopted "My Virgin Islands" as a marketing tool for the Territory. "Users will be able to bookmark points of interests and plan their trips ahead of time accessing up-to-date information about things to do in the islands," DOT said in a statement.
