St. John hosts Viet vets

More than 40 years have passed for the five Army draftees and a Navy vet who are reuniting on the island, according to Lynda Lohr, writing in the St. John Source.  She says the men do not spend much time talking about their experiences 'over there'.

On returning, one of the guys became an accountant in Chicago; another works with the New York Fire Department, a third worked at New York City Transit.

They got together when one of the fellows, from Jackson, Michigan,  sought out his buddies.  Howard Linnabary, the instigator, said this is one of several trips the group has taken.  The men, and their wives, have all become close. Lohr quoted one spouse saying, "Now we have a great group of friends."
