Hello everyone and happy Monday!! We told you all back in March that a new restaurant was coming to Cruz Bay, and today we’re excited to tell you that it has finally opened!
The Tap & Still served up its first burger last week, and from what we hear, it’s pretty darn good! Many of you may be familiar with the restaurant as it has two locations over on St. Thomas – one in Red Hook and a second over at Havensight (where the cruise ships come in). The St. John location is over where UMANI once was across from Woody’s in Cruz Bay.
Tap & Still is known for its burgers, which you can get for as little as $6. It also serves wings, hot dogs, a few sandwiches and even funnel cakes. Here is the full menu plus a couple of pics of the place:
The Tap & Still opens daily at 11 a.m. Happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Happy to hear a new business is opened. This tell me things are looking up. It’s also another place for Kenny Chesney to get his cheeseburgers. LOL
Great looking menu at unheard of reasonable prices. Very smart business owners to get people in the door with reasonable prices and know they will spend more on drinks, etc. This location has changed hands a lot over the years. Hope this restaurant is there for good. Who doesn’t love funnel cake? Genius business owners. Perfect mix of menu items.
6 bucks for a burger on stj ? must be a miss print, haha.

I read that they refused to turn their music down,forcing La Tapa to close their outdoor dining space.Hope that situation has changed and that T&S will be good neighbors

speaking of loud music, how about the obnoxious bars on either side of Cool Breeze Car Rentals? I very often want to eat at Uncle Joe’s right there, but don’t because of their bad neighbors. will be down in August.
Thank U so much for coming to Saintjohn, I’ve been taking the ferry and dollar cab to Havensite since it opened and before that to red hook. I always thought the havensite location had better fries. Anyway much easier and cheaper for me to have my triple burger.Thanks again

This one is pretty fool proof, Jheri. Umani would probably still be there if the hurricanes didn’t happen.

Can’t wait to try!! So many choices too few days on StJ. If only the lottery would cooperate and then I could spend weeks or months trying all the restaurants. 🙂
While I am so glad that something new has opened, I will miss Umami something fierce. I think we ate there 3 times on our last trip 🙁 we loved their sushi happy hour specials and their large punch bowl drinks. Welcome to Tap and Still though!
I remember when there was a Subway there. Yes, St. John had a fast food joint!

I have had several meals there in Red Hook and while they serve up good burgers, and a veggie too, their fries are hand cut and yummy!
I hope they’re very successful on St John!
