Beaches, boats, sun, rum and reggae – it really doesn’t get much better than that folks. Today marks the beginning of Love City Live, St. John’s annual reggae music festival. There are a lot of great events happening over the next few days. Here’s a complete list:
Today, April 15th – Hush… The Exclusive All-Inclusive Villa Soiree- 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
An intimate cocktail social at an undisclosed private villa featuring private chefs, fine Caribbean cuisine & top shelf bars. It’s Caribbean chic at it’s best…VIP shuttle from pickup area to undisclosed location. Tickets $120.
Thursday, April 16th – Reggae Roadblock @ Drink – 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
They’re kicking the vibe up a notch at a unique three-level (beach, road, patio) reggae block party. Music by King Judah Sounds. No Cover.
Friday, April 17th – Rockers All-White Beach Party @ Cruz Bay Beachfront – 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
This starlit party on the beach sets the tone for Love City Live!’s island-vibe weekend. Caribbean Hors d’oeuvres, premium cash bars and an abundance of reggae tunes. Tickets are $40. (There will be a return ferry to Red Hook after the event. Fare not included in event ticket.)
Saturday, April 18th – The Crucial Roots Reggae Festival
It’s a Virgin Islands fete of live Roots Reggae, lovers rock & culture. There will be arts & crafts vendors, Ital food vendors, local food vendors, fresh coconut and island-style rum bars. Live performances by Junior Reid, Reemah, Black Mahogany Band and others…along with spoken word and a live dub session. Get there early and “Indulge” in the full island roots experience. Tickets are $40. (There will be a return ferry to Red Hook after the event. Fare not included in event ticket.)
Sunday, April 19th – The Ultimate PowerBoat Party – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
It’s the ever-sexy private boat wind-down party of the Love City Live! weekend. You will spend the day soaking in rays, swimming and relaxing at world class boating locations in the BVI…Passport required. Tickets are $150 and include BBQ lunch, open bar (onboard), custom fees, BVI departure tax, fuel charge and captain’s fee.
