Hello and happy Saturday! It’s a busy day here on St. John. Here’s what’s happening…
Pickles in Paradise is holding fundraising event called Music for Masts. The goal of the event is to raise money so the owner of Silver Cloud, the large black steel ship in Coral Bay harbor, can replace its sail which was lost during Irma. The party starts at 11 a.m. and will end when they are done. 🙂
Light Up the Night is happening today too! The event kicks off at 5:45 p.m. with a children’s parade which starts at Mongoose Junction. Beginning at 6 p.m. in the Frank Powell Park, there will be performances by the Love City Pan Dragons, the Dynamic Dancers, and the Caribbean Ritual Dancers. This year’s route is a bit different as the ballfield is being occupied by the school’s new classroom, so participants will be walking the block this year rather than the field. Fundraiser teams will be positioned along the waterfront too so be sure to stop by and check them out. A dinner will be served for our cancer warriors, prepared by fellow warrior Val Prakas of Little Olive, on Cruz Bay Beach, where live music will serenade guests as they dine.
And our last great event today is the Gifft Hill auction and gala. The event is sold out.

The fundraiser for silver cloud it is not because silver cloud had lost its sails. Elliott had helped more than 30 different boats owners get there stranded boats off of the beachs of st john after both hurricanes . The only person he did not help was himself . And Elliott is still taken care of some of these boats as their owners are away or cannot do it himself . It takes a village to help each other get through the tough times . Thank You
