Last Minute Holiday Travel… Why? Because it’s Warm Here!

IMG_1498

Mama and Papa News of St. John returned to the frozen tundra last night – aka Connecticut – and I was curious what temps would be greeting them this morning. When I pulled up weather.com, I was shocked to see that it was 35 freezing cold degrees in New York City. 35??!! No thank you.

So it got me thinking… Many of you reading this are probably just as chilly this morning. I just saw that it’s 34 degrees in Boston and it supposedly feels like 26. Brrr. It’s only 45 degrees in Washington DC and even a cool 66 for our friends reading in Florida. Well guess what? It’s a warm 80 degrees this morning on St. John and temps are expected to reach the mid 80s by the middle of the day. Sounds much better, doesn’t it?

So you know what that means? Time to book a trip! How does Thanksgiving on St. John sound? Pretty fantastic to me! Well we did a bit of research for all of you and we’ve got some good news. There are still plenty good deals to be had for the upcoming holidays. Here’s a sampling of what we’ve found:

Viva Vacations is offering between 15 and 25 percent off select rentals during Thanksgiving week. They’re offering a great deal at Coral Oasis – a whopping 25 percent off during Thanksgiving week. How many of you can picture yourselves eating turkey with this view?

Cimmaron St. John is also getting in the holiday sprit and is offering between 15 and 20 percent off of select villas through mid December. Click here to find out which ones.

Our friends at Islands Abodes are offering a great holiday special too. Stay between November 21 and December 18 and your 5th night is FREE! Stay 5 nights for the price of 4… or even better stay 10 nights for the price of 8!!! Visit www.islandabodes.com for more information.

There are a ton of deals to be had. And just because a discount isn’t being advertised doesn’t mean one may not be available. Most villa owners or management companies will offer a discounted rate on last minute bookings, so it never hurts to ask.
