La Tapa, 10 years later

The daughter of a European restaurateur, who moved to St. John, is
the force behind one of the island’s most popular dining spots, La Tapa.
While some restaurants can boast of magnificent water views, La Tapa is
street side downtown, and traffic moves past diners from appetizer to
dessert.  Starting as a tapas bar, chef and owner Alexandra Ewald has expanded to full dinners, emphasizing local ingredients according to Virgin Voices.  The chef says "the only thing consistent at La Tapa is quality.  Ewald speaks four languages, has traveled in France and Spain, and cooked in the Basque country.
