Island Cork Now Open at Wharfside

Hello and happy Monday! We’ve got some great news today – there’s a fantastic new wine shop at Wharfside Village, and we promise you’re going to love it!

Island Cork – the great little wine shop that opened up behind Mongoose Junction back in 2013 – is now located at Wharfside Village. The new store is much larger than the old location, and owner Paul Tsakeres now offers a pretty fantastic selection of artisan cheeses and meats in addition to fine wines.

Island Cork even has a small bar inside, making it a perfect spot to do a tasting or perhaps hang out for a few hours. There’s some construction happening outside  right now (we told you about a month or so back about the construction happening at Wharfside – click here to read all about it), but as soon as that’s done, there’ll be a nice little seating area outside as well.

Island Cork sells authentic wines from around the world ranging in price from $17 and up. The $17 bottles are a great value, Paul said. Spend between $25 and $27, and you can get a terrific bottle of wine. Those with a price point of $35 and up are fantastic, Paul said.

Paul describes the new spot as being friendly, welcoming, elegant and chic. It’s a place to have fun, he said, and perhaps learn something too.

Island Cork is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Be sure to check it out the next time you’re in town.

  1. . We stopped by the other day. As usual Paul was knowledgeable, the wine selection was good with a range of price points. He has some nice sipping rums too

  2. Always enjoy popping by for a nice bottle and now we’ll have a little cheese to go with our Vino – So nice! Can’t wait for our next visit! CONGRATS in your new spot! 🙂

  3. We stopped by to find some reasonably priced good wines with some friends. Paul did a wonderful job pointing out some reasonably priced great wines. Wishing him all the best in the new location. Will definitely be stopping by in the future. 🙂
