Someone’s dream of running a quaint hotel in an idyllic island setting may be one step closer to reality now that a popular Cruz Bay inn is on the market.

The Inn at Tamarind Court listed Thursday for $1,250,000. The 20-room inn is a reasonably priced vacation option that blends island charm with the convenience of being located in Cruz Bay. According to the listing, the Inn’s current owners have decided to retire after successfully running the business for years.

The Inn’s current lease expires in 2017. There is a 20-year lease option per its MLS listing.

In addition to the Inn, there is also a restaurant on site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here are some pics:

  1. Sharon and I could do an excellent job
due to our 11 years of ownership at Serendip. As VP on Serendip’s board I
    Hired and fired many mgrs!
Learned a lot from their successes and their many mistakes.
Also visited the Island 50 times having made valuable friends, sailed extensively on SV Antiquity with Capt. David M DeCuir–St. John and all of
the BVI on 8 separate 1wk. charters.
    Good friends of the Nogueira family;
    Especially Ron and Mary-Phyllis.
Also, Dave D’Alberto, and Rich Myer and family.
Personal friends with Quito Rymer over on Tortola at Cane Garden Bay.
Being a retired teacher of 39 years, I have people skills while my wife, Sharon,
also has very good people skills as she rented Echo at Serendip from our, then,
home in S Jersey. Her success in that venture lead to us putting rentals consistently in the other Serendip units!
We are retired in NC and continue to investigate ways to return, permanently to our beloved St. John! We were married there in 85 by Rev. Schaffer and had our post wedding party at the Upper
Deck which we greatly missed after its losing battle with a hurricane.
Renewed our vows with Ann Marie Porter at Francis Bay in 2001.
I was also a HS baseball and football coach; and could help local children.
Still highly involved teaching baseball here in NC. As a 39 yr. physical educator; I’m well versed in all sports.
We look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely,
    Garry A. Smith
    Ps
    Sharon has good computer skills.
