Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! I was finally able to hike the Lind Point Trail yesterday for the first time since last November, and you know what?? It looks pretty amazing!
For those of you who are avid readers of News of St. John – and a big thank you to those of you who are!! – you probably recall a story we posted in mid-November where we shared the unfortunate news that the white sandy beach we loved at Salomon was mostly gone. Instead, it was nearly covered with pieces of rock, coral and even concrete.
Well today we have good news for all of you … a good deal of sand is back! The place truly looks great. But rather than tell you about it, we’re going to let you see for yourselves…
And for those of you who need a bit more of a Salomon fix today, we took this quick video for you:
Looks great, doesn’t it! So how did the sand return so quickly? Well according to one of our friends at the VI National Park, it simply “comes and goes with the swells, tides and surges …Mother nature shifting things around.”
Nature is amazing. There’s no doubt about that. Have a great one everyone.
