The 95-year-old namesake of the Guy Benjamin School told a St. John Rotary luncheon that with President Obama's election, "I have seen the impossible happen." During his remarks, the former schoolteacher remembered his childhood as a happy one. "We could fish, go to school, visit our neighbors, and we played from morning to night," Guy Benjamin said, according to an report by the St. John Source.
