Gerard shoots and scores in Beijing

Ned Gerard, a St. John builder, finished 53rd in last week’s Olympic 50-meter Rifle Prone Shooting event.  The Virgin Islands Olympian posted scores better than those of competitors from Nicaragua, Egypt and Kyrgyzstan.  The event was won by Artur Ayvazian of Ukraine while Matt Emmons, the US’s top shooter, grabbed the Silver medal.  Full results here: http://www.aol.com.au/news/story/Fridays-Olympic-Shooting-Results/858611/index.html
