Happy Monday everyone! I apologize for being late to the party on this, but St. John was featured on an episode of Caribbean Life last night. I wish I told you all yesterday, but I’m still on vacation, on the West Coast, and that’s my excuse. 🙂
The episode followed Jason and Kelly Wheatley, a couple from Punta Gorda, Florida who was looking to escape the hustle and bustle of mainland life. The episode also featured Karye Carney of Sold on St. John. Here’s the official description:
A Florida couple who fell in love with the national parks and pristine beaches of St. John are hoping to find the Caribbean home of their dreams so that they can sit back and enjoy the simple island life.
Sounds like a lot of us, right?
The episode followed Jason and Kelly as they searched for a two unit home on the Coral Bay side of the island. The couple’s goal was to find something that had rental income potential, a home office, a view and a pool with a budget of $650,000. Here are the three homes they looked at:
And in true HGTV fashion, the episode featured a few bloopers. Our favorite was the quick cameo made by Joe and Karena, owners of The Beach Bar. Joe and Karena were featured on an episode of Caribbean Life last year. Click here to read all about that.
For those of you (like me) who missed the episode when it aired last night, there is no need to worry. All you have to do is log into your cable provider’s website and pull up the episode. That’s how I was able to watch it this morning. As of now, it doesn’t seem to be listed on HGTV’s website, but that can change.
