Let’s Talk Trash

Let's Talk Trash 1

Good Morning!  If you have been following along over the past few months, you likely already know that the island has been abnormally busy!  Dining reservations, rental cars and accommodations have all had a tough time keeping up with the demand created by this year’s boom in tourism.  Yet there is another nasty and overwhelming element created by increased traffic to the islands that I probably don’t talk about enough on here.  It’s not as much of an inconvenience to you as the rental car company losing your reservation but it is something we all need to pay attention to and work together on in order to take care of the beauty of St. John and its critters on land and sea.  Trash.  We are talking trash.

Where to Stay Spotlight: Luxurious Accommodations Where the City Meets the Sea

Where to Stay Spotlight: Luxurious Accommodations Where the City Meets the Sea 2

You just got off the ferry after traveling for twelve plus hours.  All you want to do is drop your bags, dig your feet into the sand and kick back with a rum drink and a burger in front of you.  But, first, you have to get your rental car, drive 20 minutes to your villa, unload the car and THEN drive back to town and hassle with finding parking.  If you got off the 4’o’clock boat, it will be way past “5’o’clock somewhere” before you have completed your mission.

Sound familiar?  Well, today I have to share with you a bit about Wharfside Village and the new luxury accommodations located just steps from the ferry dock and “stumbling distance” to ALL of your favorite Cruz Bay watering holes…Oh, and definitely keep reading.  There are some sneak peaks of what’s next at Wharfside Village included here as well!

Travel Update: Airline Cancellations, Extended Car Barge Service and COVID Restrictions

Travel Update: Airline Cancellations, Extended Car Barge Service and COVID Restrictions 3

Good Morning, Good Morning!  A lot of things have been happening in the world of travel recently.  Low flight costs and the ability to FINALLY travel is has been resulting in a travel boom of epic proportions nationwide.  We know that the USVI has been unusually slammed busy since basically New Years this year.  In a normal year we would start to see a drop off around the Fourth of July.  But not this year!  The beach parking lots are still absolutely packed and accommodation and rental car availability are both slim to none.  However, it is not just the USVI seeing this impact.  The Transportation Security Administration reported a record setting number of passenger screenings this weekend.  On Sunday 2,238,462 million people made their way through TSA around the country.

Real Estate Spotlight: Never Ending Caribbean Views Are Calling You Home

Real Estate Spotlight: Never Ending Caribbean Views Are Calling You Home 4

You guys…This house I have to share with you today.  Just wow.  This Chocolate Hole home is just a ten minute drive to town yet perched in privacy high above the Caribbean Sea with INCREDIBLE 270 degree views.  And a whopping 2800 square feet of outdoor patio space for soaking in the sun and those unspeakable views of the big blue.  Three separate bedroom/bathroom/patio spaces, a pool area, outdoor dining and THAT LOCATION AND VIEW splashed with some dashes of dated island charm makes this home one well worth taking a closer look at…

Where to Stay Spotlight: Everyday Convenience Meets Modern Comfort at The Marketplace Suites 5

Alright, let’s face it…We all LOVE St. John.  But “convenience” isn’t necessarily a synonym of Love City.  Well, what if I told you, there is now a deluxe accommodation that is just steps away from groceries, organic lunch and juices, the best coffee on island (in my opinion!) and necessity shopping that is a few moments walk from the ferry dock but away from the noise of the evening crowds?  Let’s dive in and take a closer look at the Marketplace Suites….
