St. John Gets a Movie Theater!

movie ruins (2)

Well sort of 😉

I have to say, I am pretty darn excited about this, and I’m even more excited to tell you all about it. For the past month or so, we’ve had a nice little popup movie theater here on island. Want to know all about it? Well read on…

The popup theater happens every Friday night around dark at the Susannaberg ruins, which are located just before mile two on Centerline Road. If you’re coming from Cruz Bay, drive past Paradise Lumber. You’ll pass a small dirt road right on your left and the “theater” is located down the next driveway on your left. You’ll pass a house on your right, which is Ronnie Jones’ house. He and his family own this incredible property. Drive to the back and park. You’ll see a huge lawn where the screen is setup. Feel free to bring a blanket and snacks.

The cost to go is $10, and all of the money goes to the Susannaberg Historical Foundation.

A different movie is played each Friday night. So far, they’ve all been some great oldies. Tonight’s movie, for example, is Spaceballs.

They list the movies each week on their Facebook page. Click here to check it out.

Hope to see you all there tonight!
