Trunk Bay = One of the Most Beautiful Beaches in the World

Trunk Bay Conde Nast

Some things just never get old … like learning that one of our famed beaches has been named the best of the best. We stumbled on a Conde Nast article, thanks to our friend Shanna Dickerson at Blue Sky Luxury Concierge, that stated our very own Trunk Bay is the 20th most beautiful beach in the world. Sure the article is from last year, but we’re pretty certain Trunk is just as beautiful today as it was last year. Here’s what they had to say about it:

Undeniably one of the most photographed beaches in the Caribbean, if not the world, Trunk Bay sits in the northwestern corner of the Virgin Islands National Park (it was donated to the park service by Laurence S. Rockefeller over 50 years ago). Calm, clear water and a 225-yard-long Underwater Trail for superb snorkeling are big draws, as are hiking trails up and into the surrounding greenery filled with the ruins of historic sugar cane plantations.

The article also gave Caneel Bay a nice little plug saying it’s the place to stay when visiting the VIs.

So all of that being said, we have to wonder… what beach do you think is the most beautiful on St. John? Let us know in the poll below. And better yet, if you think you have a great photograph, send it to us at [email protected] or post it over on our Facebook page.
